When Life Gets Tough, We Ride It Out!

Lloyd - $1700

Lloyd is well - broke for an intermediate - experienced rider. Lloyd is well-suited for barrel racing, cutting, working cow horse, ranch work, possibly endurance riding and he will probably make a nice hunter/jumper and /or dressage mount. He is well built and athletic. He has good manners, ties, leads well, loads, easy to saddle, bridle, and he's up to date on vaccinations, farrier work, and deworming. Lloyd is easy to handle from the ground, but he needs an experienced/confident rider. He is quite willing to try, he just lacks the confidence it would take for a beginner rider. An experienced rider/trainer could have a blast with this boy. He is well-trained. Can stop and turn on a dime, moves well off the legs, neck reins, has had a rope swung off him and has been ridden bareback. He is eager to please, he learns quick and he loves to be praised. He is about 15h, about 8 yrs. old, and is branded with the P.A. Chuckwagon brand - we're assuming he is QH/TB.

I will accept offers on him only if you try him out and do well and if you provide me with  references (preferably a vet & farrier). Money isn't as much of an issue for me as finding happy, loving homes with people that are also educated in proper horse care (i.e. farrier, deworming, nutrition, etc.). Just basic stuff that anyone who owns a horse should know.
